Have you ever revisited a place after decades and felt like you were reliving your past while witnessing the future?
That’s precisely what happened to me when I visited Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India, after 34 years. This city holds a special place in my heart — I spent five transformative years earning my Engineering degree from the Government College of Jabalpur (now known as Jabalpur Engineering College).
As I walked through the streets and landmarks, nostalgia hit me like a wave, filling me with gratitude for life’s journey. This trip wasn’t just about revisiting places; it was about rediscovering myself, reconnecting with friends, and reflecting on the passage of time.
The City That Shaped My Dreams
When I arrived in Jabalpur in 1985 as an 18-year-old engineering student, it was a more straightforward city, yet vibrant with culture and history. Life in the city revolved around:
